Ignition fuse blowing
Web16 feb. 2024 · My ignition fuse (Fuse #30 - 30A) keeps blowing when I turn the key to start the engine following replacing my alternator and starter motor recently. Have checked for any obvious earthing issues/damaged wires and everything looks fine. Earth from starter motor to chassis is solid. When I turn the key, the dash lights come on as usual. Web4 aug. 2024 · It feeds fuse #1, 10 amp in the underdash fuse box. It feeds the wipers, instrument cluster, the rear wiper and the low tire pressure warning system. Pull fuse F1 and see if the other fuse still blows. You would have thought the 10 amp would blow before the 30 amp that is blowing. Make sure 102 is a 30 amp, and F1 is 10 amp fuse.

Web15 mrt. 2012 · If you disconnect everything and you're still popping fuses then you've got a fault in your wiring harness someplace. Popping fuse issues are not terribly hard to find. Somewhat easier than phantom glitches causing itermittent failures. Just keep in mind that you are probably looking for a gross fault, e.g. pinched wire. The entire purpose of the relay is so high amperage doesn't have to be ran through the ignition switch. The fuse protecting that ignition switch wire to pin socket #4 is probably only 10 or 15 amps. You're frying that 40 amp fuse when you energize the starter relay. Remove fuse, plug in a test-light (not a LED, but a normal halogen). Turn on ignition, when short-circuit is being made, the light will come on. Pulled out the battery and it wa sittin gin a small puddle of battery acid. :blackeye:. battery doesnt "look" like it leaked or has any cracks, but can't argue with a puddle of sulphuric acid in my battery ... glass latches
